Our Country’s Good – Play – Strawberry Theatre Workshop “Our Country’s Good” play at 12th Avenue Arts w/ Strawberry Theatre Workshop. Celebrated the lifechanging power of the stage! Well-performed but ole English dialogue was difficult to follow. While I’m not a fan of cast doubling, it was done mindfully & intentionally. #Australia #Prison #Jail #Convicts #Criminals #Inmates
The Revolutionists – Play – ArtsWest “The Revolutionists” play at ArtsWest Playhouse. Fun Marie Antoinette character. Novel chickflick/chicklit take on the French Revolution’s “Reign of Terror.” Wish there was more action though. #French #feminism #girlPower #sisterhood #basic #sassy #fierce #millennial #guillotine
True West – Play – Seattle Repertory Theatre “True West” play at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Intricate set … albeit tiny. Deliciously dislikeable trailer trash brothers unsettlingly doing what you don’t want them to do. Unexpected (kinda senseless) ending. #siblings #siblingrivalry
Dance Nation – Play – Washington Ensemble Theatre “Dance Nation” at 12th Avenue Arts w/ Washington Ensemble Theatre. Great A/V, lighting, & lead dancers. Confusing soliloquy-like moments. Expected more cutthroat backstabbing drama. Disturbing nude locker scene, considering the adult actors played preteen characters. Wasn’t sold that they were all dancers.
Fiddler on the Roof – Musical – Paramount “Fiddler on the Roof” at Paramount Theatre w/ Andres & Eyal. Slow, unexciting, & educational. But great traditional jewish choreography. Loved the yiddish expressions. #tradition
