Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike – Play – Tacoma Arts Live Drove to Siberia to watch the Tony Awards-winning, Anton Chekhov-inspired play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Voodoo prophetess and douchey hot actor were a hoot. I could do without the bizzare climatic anti-millennial monologue though.
Lift – Musical – Cornish Playhouse Evening performance of LIFT – Musical. Incredible talent and great music. Sadly, the storyline was so imaginative that it became hard to follow.
The Conduct of Life – Play – Seattle University Watched the Obie Awards-winning play “The Conduct of Life.” Dialogue was bizzare & I’m sure I missed the symbolism. An usher was available to escort out attendees who couldn’t handle the graphic sexual/verbal/physical abuse scenes!
Schoolhouse Rock Live! – Musical – ReAct Theatre Watched the musical stage adaptation of Schoolhouse Rock! Interjections, conjunctions, bills, oh my! Learning is fun. Wished they used microphones though.
Come From Away – Musical – 5th Ave Theatre Watched the Tony Awards-winning musical Come From Away. It’s a beautiful story that celebrates humanity’s spirit of generosity and kindness after 9/11 in a Love Actually way.
