On Your Feet! The Emilio & Gloria Estefan Broadway Musical – Paramount Theatre Watched ON YOUR FEET! The Musical. Stellar light show, mesmerizing choreography, golden voices, & hawt Emilio Estefan actor (Ektor Rivera). But like many Paramount Theatre shows, the volume was too loud.
[title of show] – Musical – SecondStory Repertory Opening weekend to the musical Title of show. Stiffer performance than what I initially saw at Bainbridge Performing Arts. But the actress that played Heidi had an amazing voice.
Casa Valentina – Play – Lesser-known Players Opening night to the Seattle premier of Harvey Fierstein’s play “Casa Valentina.” Intriging piece about a B&B for cross-dressers. Great monologues. Abrupt ending but well-written overall.
Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery – Play – Taproot Theatre Watched the terribly corny play “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.” Five actors portrayed 35 characters. Liked how one of the main characters was Texan. Represent!
Oslo – Play – ACT Theatre Previewed the Tony Award-winning play Oslo. Political/historical references to the Palestinian-Israeli crisis frequently went over my head. But great dialogue & frequent scene changes engaged my attention throughout this 3 hr (2 intermission) show.
