An Octoroon – Play – ArtsWest Playhouse and Gallery

Opening weekend of the play An Octoroon. I think they were trying to be "edgy theatre" but ended up being just bizarre. They also did whiteface, blackface, & redface. Not sure what was the point of all the offensive depictions.

The Great Leap – Play – Seattle Repertory Theatre

World premiere of "The Great Leap" play. Chinese American basketball player stars in a USA vs communist China game held during the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Not a fan of sports and politics but this was sooo so good! — attending a performance at Seattle Repertory Theatre.

The Maltese Falcon – Dinner Theatre – Cafe Nordo

Dinner theater watching the fast-paced stage adaptation of The Maltese Falcon. My 1st exposure to noir & I'm loving it! Actors portrayed this melodramatic genre well w/o being too campy/corny. In other news, I ate truffles for the 1st time & I'm not impressed. — attending The Maltese Falcon at Cafe Nordo.
