Watched the slow 3-act play “John” w/ Eyal at ArtsWest. Random & plotless … but very detailed set. Many promisingly ominous moments ended up anticlimactic or unresolved. The highfalutin critical appeal is lost on me. #NotAFan
Closing night to “The Clean House” comedy play w/ As If Theatre Company. Maid character was too obsessed w/ jokes & tries too hard to be funny. Liked the neurotic sisters (the doctor & the one like Bree Van De Kamp).
Sold out “Death of a Salesman” matinee at Slate Theatre. Slow-moving play about the American dream, success, & the reality of mediocrity. Not quite sure why it won the Pulitzer Prize & some Tony Awards.
Watched the stage play adaptation of “American Junkie” at Book-It Repertory Theatre. Visceral, vivid, chilling descriptions of heroin addiction. An ode to the grunge era. Sooooo Seattle.
Sold-out standing-room-only murder comedy play “Arsenic & Old Lace” at Taproot Theatre. An understudy-less actor was sick & the set designer read lines really well w/ a script on stage! #TheShowMustGoOn. Dialogue & eccentric characters reminded me of English humor.
