“Pass Over” at ACT Theatre. While I support #BlackLivesMatter, I wasn’t a fan of this play’s style. Slow-moving & not very compelling/riveting until after halfway. Too much unnecessary profanity. Good symbolism but I’m sure lots went over my head. #PromisedLand
With dad attending the “UrineTown” musical satire produced by ACT Theatre & 5th Avenue Theatre. Fun talented cast & so many hilarious campy gags. I wasn’t sure if the show was for/against social services given the paradoxical ending. #urine
Previewed the Tony Award-winning play Oslo. Political/historical references to the Palestinian-Israeli crisis frequently went over my head. But great dialogue & frequent scene changes engaged my attention throughout this 3 hr (2 intermission) show.
Watched The Good Woman of Setzuan play. It’s hard to be good. Also love is blind, irrational, and reckless! And I wasn’t a fan of the occasional rudimentary puppetry.
Watched the Tony award-winning play “Skylight.” Was intoxicated by the smell of onions & garlic sauteing as they cooked Italian (in a British play) while acting. So hungry! Not quite sure what was the message of the play.
