Watched the play “Queen” this weekend. There’s dubious ethics in the peer-reviewed primary literature world! Even with the dry synopsis, it was pretty interesting. Loved the scenes of heightened emotion.
Attended Pageant – The Hilarious Comedy Musical on the second evening of Seattle Pride weekend. 6 drag queens compete for the crown … & actually sing! Different winner each show depending on the audience. I was totally rooting for Miss Texas & Miss Bible Belt.
Watched the play “Until the Flood” unaware it was a one-woman show abt #blacklivesmatter. The actress effectively conveyed a relevant (albeit heavy) message. But I was really originally hoping to escape into an entertaining puff piece with a plot this evening.
Opening preview night of “The Wolves” play. Usually not a fan of plays where it’s all talk and no action but this wasn’t terrible. However, it didn’t seem like an accurate depiction of high school. Maybe college? — attending The Wolves at ACT Theatre.20
Opening preview night to “Ride the Cyclone” musical w/ Paul. After a rollercoaster derails, six kids in limbo await their fate at the mercy of a carnival robot. Yes, it sounds bizarre. Hopefully, they’ll fix some kinks before opening night. Visuals & vocals were on point though! — attending Ride the Cyclone (Mar 10-May 20) at ACT Theatre.
