Before the Flood – Play – ACT Theatre Watched the play “Until the Flood” unaware it was a one-woman show abt #blacklivesmatter. The actress effectively conveyed a relevant (albeit heavy) message. But I was really originally hoping to escape into an entertaining puff piece with a plot this evening.
The Wolves – Play – ACT Theatre Opening preview night of “The Wolves” play. Usually not a fan of plays where it’s all talk and no action but this wasn’t terrible. However, it didn’t seem like an accurate depiction of high school. Maybe college? — attending The Wolves at ACT Theatre.20
Ride the Cyclone – Musical – ACT Theatre Opening preview night to “Ride the Cyclone” musical w/ Paul. After a rollercoaster derails, six kids in limbo await their fate at the mercy of a carnival robot. Yes, it sounds bizarre. Hopefully, they’ll fix some kinks before opening night. Visuals & vocals were on point though! — attending Ride the Cyclone (Mar 10-May 20) at ACT Theatre.
Downstairs – ACT Theatre Watched “Downstairs.” Slow moving play with no setting/scene changes about a crazy brother, an emotionally disturbed sister/wife, and an abusive husband. — at ACT Theatre.
The Legend of Georgia McBride – ACT Theatre Watched The Legend of Georgia McBride. Straight Elvis impersonator becomes a drag queen in a podunk bar. Great way to celebrate Seattle Pride weekend.
