Nice Work If You Can Get It – Musical – Woodland Park Players “Nice Work If You Can Get It” Gershwin musical w/ Woodland Park Players. Good roaring 1920s costumes & dance moves. Biggest turnout I’ve seen at this venue.
Mrs. Caliban – Play – Book-it Repertory Theatre “Mrs. Caliban” stage adaptation of the novella at Book-it Repertory Theatre. An ocean monster man disrupts the monontous routine of a lonely unfulfilled suburban #housewife. With such a #bizarre story, this #play was oddly #indescribable (in a good way). #fantasy
Teenage Dick – Play – Seattle Repertory Theater “Teenage Dick” play at Seattle Rep. Shakespeare’s disabled Richard III goes to high school. Bits of early English cleverly snuck into modern dialogue w/ f-bombs. Love when stories take dark turns like this did. Reminiscent of “the Politician” TV show.
Anna in the Tropics – Play – Tacoma Arts Live “Anna in the Tropics” play at Tacoma Arts Live. Cuban immigrant cigar factory workers in Florida experience Tolstoy’s “Anna Karenina” novel in their own lives.
1984 – Play – Radial Theater Project “1984” stage play adaptation of George Orwell’s dystopian novel w/ Radial Theater Project + 18th and Union. Unexpected powerfully-executed production from such a modest theatre. Don’t keep a diary! #bigbrother #disturbed #shocked #torture
