Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol” play at SecondStory Repertory. Strong primary actors especially Scrooge. Pleasantly surprised w/ the live music & singing. But not a fan of the cliche sentimentality & cuteness common w/ many stage renditions of this classic. #xmas #humbug
Jane Austen’s “Sense & Sensibility” at Shoreline Community College. Enjoyed this play more than I thought I would. Perhaps it was the gossipy busybody characters. But scene transitions were awkward & the puppetry should be omitted.
“Head Over Heels” at ArtsWest Playhouse. Fun musical redefining gender norms. Energetic cast & impressive trans actress. Wish the dialog wasn’t old English but it was a novel mash up w/ 80s new wave rock Go Go’s hits. #Amazon #Arcadia
“Howl’s Moving Castle” musical w/ Book- It Repertory Theatre. Quality better than the original 2017 production. Probably would have enjoyed it much more if I saw the book or movie.
