Our Country’s Good – Play – Strawberry Theatre Workshop “Our Country’s Good” play at 12th Avenue Arts w/ Strawberry Theatre Workshop. Celebrated the lifechanging power of the stage! Well-performed but ole English dialogue was difficult to follow. While I’m not a fan of cast doubling, it was done mindfully & intentionally. #Australia #Prison #Jail #Convicts #Criminals #Inmates
Take Me Out – Play – Strawberry Theatre Workshop “Take Me Out” w/ Strawberry Theatre Workshop. Nearly the entire male cast was naked at some point (very distracting). Good soliloquy style. Excellent climactic scenes of heightened emotion. But not quite sure what was the play’s message. #nudity #gay #lgbt
Prelude to a Kiss – Play – Strawberry Theatre Workshop Watched the original stage play version of Prelude to a Kiss. Started out as a fun light-hearted romantic comedy that suddenly transformed into freaky friday. Good plot progression. Totally missed the allusion to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
How I Learned to Drive – Play – Strawberry Theatre Workshop Watched the play How I Learned to Drive. Amazing how the playwright/actors created a disarming pedophile that evoked both disgust & sympathy. Complex, ambiguous, and unconventional. I so wish there was a talkback!
