“Bright Star” by Steve Martin at Taproot Theatre. Unexpectedly good musical despite all the folk country bluegrass (which I surprisingly enjoyed) & depictions of the backwards South. Talented lead actress. Proud to have accurately predicted two major plots twists. #Southern
Stage play version of “Kim’s Convenience” w/ Taproot Theatre. Relatable to the Asian immigrant family experience. Also kinda racist (but in other ways not). Cool detailed set too. #Korean
Sold-out standing-room-only murder comedy play “Arsenic & Old Lace” at Taproot Theatre. An understudy-less actor was sick & the set designer read lines really well w/ a script on stage! #TheShowMustGoOn. Dialogue & eccentric characters reminded me of English humor.
Last day of the sold-out Charles Shultz “Charlie Brown Christmas” stage adaption at Taproot Theatre. I need to stop seeing kid-friendly shows. Nice how the schroeder character accompanied the musical (or play?).
Watched the terribly corny play “Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.” Five actors portrayed 35 characters. Liked how one of the main characters was Texan. Represent!
